was not deformed in shape externally. The right nasal cavity was occupied by a tumour which obliterated the whole cavity and extended into the posterior nares. The septum was pressed into the left cavity* touching the external wall and blocking the passage on that side also. Externally the tumour was flush with the edges of the anterior nares, the four-anna sized surface which was exposed being dry and the rest moist and covered with mucous membrane.
